Video Streaming Help

Virtual classes use a Mindbody Streaming app to stream video. A link to the video stream is emailed 30 minutes before class to each student that signed up. Most people attend classes using either a PC, MAC, or iPad and occasionally phones.

The main issues students have had connecting to the video stream are:

  • Confused by pop-up on Windows computers
  • Browser not supported
  • Device access (Camera/Microphone) on Apple iPads

Desktop Computers

Computers can connect in two ways:

  • "Mindbody Live" video Streaming App

OR

  • Chrome

Mindbody recommends that you use the "Mindbody Live" app, but we've found that either way works fine.

If you select Chrome, the video will play in your web browser. If you don't use chrome it will play in whatever browser is installed on your device. We found that it works fine is all browser

If you installed the "Mindbody Live" App

If you downloaded and installed the "Mindbody Live" App your browser may ask open a pop-up window asking for permission to start the app.

You can select Open (left button)

OR

Select Cancel and press the "continue via Chrome" link

"Browser not supported"

According to Mindbody, the recommended browsers for streaming are:

  • PC: Google Chrome on desktop
  • Mac: Latest version of Safari, Chrome, or Firefox.
  • iPad & iPhone (IOS): Safari
  • Android tablets & Phones: Chrome

Always use the most up-to-date versions of the software.

iPad "Unable to access your devices"

Your iPad may be setup to prevent application from accessing its camera and microphone.

Review or change access to the camera & microphone

On your Apple iPad...

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Then Privacy & Security.
  3. Tap a hardware feature, such as Camera, or Microphone.
  4. The list shows the apps that requested access. You can turn access on or off for any app on the list.
